Definitions

Personal information is information such as your name, e-mail address or postal address which can be used to uniquely identify you. This information is gathered when you register to the website or when you fill in the contact form.

Anonymous information is information about how you use the Solite website, the time of day the site was visited and other non-personal information. Anonymous information is not tied to any visitor but helps us know what our users do - such as which pages are the most popular.

Collecting and Using Personal Information

You can visit the Solite website without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself to us. It is only when you request specific information or fill in the contact form that you wil be asked to provide Solite with personal information.

When you request information you need to complete certain fields. For example, we ask for your name, address and e-mail address.

Solite uses this information in several ways

  • To mail printed catalogues only if requested
  • To enable our own representatives to contact you when required
  • To e-mail confirmation of the user name and password
  • Solite may occasionally forward this information to other F.W. Thorpe Plc Group companies when it would be a benefit to yourselves. For example if you request information on lighting products that Solite Europe do not manufacture but for instance Compact Lighting (who are members of the F.W. Thorpe Plc Group) do.
Collecting and Using Anonymous Information

Solite collects anonymous information, such as which pages have been visited, what sort of browser has been used and the length of time that visitors stay on the Solite website. This is in no way connected to any personal information you supply.

Solite uses this information to continually review the website and maintain the high standard of service that you expect.
