Solite Europe Ltd is a leading manufacturer and supplier of clean room lighting equipment and luminaires for laboratories, pharmaceutical areas, semi-conductor manufacturing areas, hospitals, kitchens and food preparation applications. Customers include many blue chip companies worldwide.
Solite designs and manufactures luminaires within the UK to the highest standards - up to an IP65 specification - to prevent the ingress of dust and moisture. The luminaires are intended for areas where clean atmospheres are essential. Solite Europe’s product range also incorporates many ancillary clean-area fitments such as vision panels (both single and double glazed), filter housings for HEPA or general room filtration, escape hatches and doorways. We specialise in providing rear access luminaires built to withstand both accidental and full walk on capability by maintenance staff.
The company is committed to continuous improvement and the highest standards (Solite Europe is certified to ISO 9001:2015), and is proud to be regarded as the leading lighting manufacturer in the Clean Area sector.
Our customer base has expanded significantly since the company started out under the name of Lighting Developments in 1975 and became part of FW Thorpe Plc in 2009. Solite has full in house manufacturing capabilities for all its products including CNC punching utilising CADCAM, and powder coating capabilities to the highest standards that are demanded by the exacting requirements of clean area installations. The company's skilled and dedicated workforce provide exceptionally high standards of quality, and, above all, maintains close working relationships with customers, ensuring specific requirements are identified and built in to the finished product.
Solite Europe has the flexibility to handle both large and small projects, and can provide a product and lighting design service from 1st principles.
The company has relocated in 2015 to a new factory and offices at Spark Business Park, Stockport, Cheshire, UK and is close to Manchester city centre and Manchester international airport.
